  This is my second run in with LA Fitness and my overall experience with this gym has been terrible.
  Fort Myers LA Fitness has horrible customer service and poor management. I was visiting Fort Myers for a 2 month stay and requested a membership only for the 2 months that I was in town. They informed me that I would pay the first and last month and wouldn't be billed after that. After the first month, I noticed a charge on my account to LA Fitness. I called in and they apologized and informed me that I would need to speak with a manager in order to cancel the account and receive a refund. When I made time to come into the office between 8am-5pm, a gentleman who told me he was the manager sat me down and told me my membership was canceled and that I would be refunded for the month I wasn't suppose to be charged. Fast forward another month, I received yet another charge from LA Fitness on my account.I called in and asked to speak with management. The "operations manager" informed me that the original person I talked to was not the "right" person and didn't have authority to cancel my membership. He also let me know there is nothing I can do to receive a refund for the months that I was not suppose to be charged. I asked to escalate this past operations and the manager would not give me a name and just told me to call corporate.

  Great employees! I've never seen any broken equipment. Their pool is clean due to constant maintenance which isn't necessarily A bad thing. The environment there can be a bit snobby but nothing too extreme. I don't know how they got these other bad reviews.
