  I put an application in for one of the newly built houses. I was very excited to move in. I won't normally go forward with applications (especially if there is a fee) if I'm not confident that I'll be approved. WRONG! Denied! I called to find out why. There was bad credit on my report. I pulled my credit report that day. Yes, there were bad marks on there from SIX years ago! Everything in the last 5 years (car, student loans, current rental lease) have never once been late. So because someone has some bad history with some medical bills from 6 years ago means the hard work and effort to keep credit nice for the last 5 years means absolutely nothing. Especially if the rent has been paid on time. Whatever, I took my business somewhere else and found a much nicer place with more square footage for $300.00 cheaper per month.
  
  I was later told by other people that I found out that have applied from them that when it comes to these "newer" homes that they just want to scam you for your application fees unless you have amazing credit they will not approve you. Oh well, too bad for them because I'm a good tenant that pays her rent and doesn't live like a pig in filth!
